Christmas is fast approaching and what better way to celebrate with your family and friends then at the 2012 Carols@Multicap. This year's event will be held from 6.00pm-8.00pm on Saturday, 24 November, at our Padstow Road Eight Mile Plains location, with the Lantern Making Workshop and other fun activities starting at 5:00pm.
Now in its sixth year the Carols continue to be an excellent Multicap event and a wonderful opportunity for the entire community to come together to celebrate the festive season. This year will see local musicians, singing groups and Multicap's own choir Southside Singers take to the stage to perform everybodys favourite Christmas Carols, not to mention the other fun activities and sweet and savoury food on offer on the night.
Performers on the night include: Brisbane based sister duo ELAN Sopranos. The duo; made up of sisters Elyssa and Annika Hinrichs are both students of the QLD Conservatorium of Music and are an act not to be missed.
Brisbane Regional Youth Orchestra. Dont miss the beautiful arrangements of your favourite Carols by this 15 person string orchestra.
Dont miss Multicap's own Southside Singers take to the stage to perform your favourite Carols. The group, made of people living with various disabilities love every opportunity to perform in front of their peers, friends and families. So make sure you get down to the Carols@Multicap and show your support.
The Carindale Salvation Army Band are an act surely not to be missed. A group of 10 with a big band sound will be performing on the night, with a set list including The First Noel and Joy to the World. Dont miss it!
For the first time the Queensland Youth Choir will be performing at the Carols and bring with them a group of very talented young performers who will delight you on the night with their performance of some of the more popular Christmas Carols.
