Music of the Unexpected is an impulsive adventure story with a difference. It is surprising, bewildering and unpredictable. Without warning, as if from nowhere, astonishing things happen. It's an aural and visual rollercoaster.
Magz Malone has new neighbours. From the first day they moved in Magz has heard the strangest noises coming from the house. Who are these people? Scientists? Inventors? Aliens!!!!! Intrigued by the mysterious sounds coming from the neighbour's house, Magz Malone begins an investigation that takes her and the audience into mystifying and impulsive spaces that permit the exploration of creativity, imagination and possibility thinking.
Composers Vanessa Tomlinson and Erik Griswold with writer Anne Roylance, Cinematic producers Markwell Presents and visual artists from Multicap Monte Lupo create a contemporary music-theatre landscape using narrative, music, and multi-media that celebrates the musicality of everyday objects through creative play and improvisation.
This is not a sit-down show. The audience move through a number of seemingly familiar home spaces that morph into sonic, not quite real worlds where anything can happen - and sometimes it does!
