About the role –

Lead a team of Disability Support Workers, to achieve agreed quality and service outcomes, aimed at supporting and assisting persons with a disability in their living and community environment. The Service Leader will ensure service delivery is reflective of customer need, and aligned to outcomes for the individual and the organisation.

Who you are –

  • Have a passion for supporting customers who have a disability, particularly those with complex support needs
  • Strong relationship management and ability to work as part of a wider team
  • Experienced in coordinating and administrating the delivery of dynamic services

About the role

We are seeking a Program Manager to take charge of Multicap's Avegates Program.

The Program Manager will be tasked with developing Social and Community programs, events and holidays to support the organisation's strategic direction, managing long term goals as well as meeting the goals of our existing Multicap customers and the broader community. This position will report to the General Manager Support Services and is responsible for budgets and developing and maintaining standardized operating plans for every program and event.

  • Organising programs, events and holidays in accordance with the mission and goals of the organisation.
  • Developing new programs, events and holidays to support the strategic direction of the organisation.
  • Creating and managing long-term goals.
  • Developing budgets and manage operating plans for the program, event and holiday.
  • Developing an evaluation method to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
  • Managing a team with a diverse array of talents and responsibilities.
  • Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction, safety, and quality and team member performance.
  • Implementing and managing changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Meeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding program issues and decisions on services.
  • Producing accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
  • Analysing program risks.
  • Working on strategy with the marketing team.

About you

The program manager must have strong practical experience in program development and management. The Program Manager must have the following:

  • Good knowledge and handling of program management methodology and techniques; including event management 
  • Good understanding of the wider objectives of the program; 
  • An understanding and knowledge on creating and executing holidays 
  • Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management; 
  • Strong leadership and management skills;

About the role

We are currently seeking a Full Time Project Support Officer to join our Customer Innovation Team. Working in this team the Project Support Officer plays a vital and dynamic role in supporting a range of administration activities which foster service innovation and contribute to the successful delivery of established projects.

  • Undertake investigation and data gathering as it relates to existing and relevant research/ legislation which support project strategy and success.

About you

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience in a similar role leading or supporting the delivery of projects, programs or other structured initiatives; or a relevant tertiary qualification. (Social Innovation, Business Administration, Project Management, Program Management etc.)
  • High level written and oral communication skills with the ability to adapt and negotiate in a flexible and rapidly changing environment, including developing executive correspondence.
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with a wide range of people internal and external to your organisation.
  • Computer literacy, including use of standard Microsoft office applications.
  • Current QLD Driver’s License

Role requirements –

  • Providing influential leadership, direction and supports to Team Leaders and Support Staff
  • Establishing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, enhancing the customer’s experience of Multicap services and providing opportunity for improved brand awareness
  • Leading and developing a team to ensure that service delivery and service expansion remains individually focused.
  • Knowledge and capacity to apply WHS principles in the workplace

  • Knowledge of NDIS desirable

Mandatory Requirements –

  • Hold or be willing to obtain a positive notice from Disability Services (Yellow Card) and a Working with Children Check (Blue card)
  • Hold or be willing to obtain nationally accredited CPR and Senior First Aid certificated

This role will respond to calls from Multicap services requiring guidance, assistance and direction arising outside of business hours. By following company processes and drawing on previous experience, including in behaviour support, the appropriate candidate will be able to ensure that the service needs are met and unanticipated situations are handed appropriately.

Role requirements –

  • Hold qualifications in Human Services or Social Sciences, or equivalent (desirable but not essential)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legislation, policy, and associated programs in the disability area
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft office suite
  • High level of effective oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of and capacity to apply Equal Opportunity and Workplace Health & Safety principles in the workplace
  • Proven ability to ensure that Multicap remains compliant and consistent with legislative or policy requirements around individuals within the scope of the Restrictive Practice legislation.

Mandatory Requirements –

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the provision of services for people with disabilities

About the role

We are currently seeking a Service Leader to support the delivery of Multicap’s Hubs (Day services) across Rockhampton.  This is a permanent, full-time position. The purpose of this position is to facilitate and lead a team of Disability Support Workers, to achieve agreed quality and service outcomes, aimed at supporting and assisting persons with a disability in their living and community environment. The Service Leader will ensure service delivery is reflective of customer need, and aligned to outcomes for the individual and the organisation. Primary duties will also include:

  • Managing the day to day operations of the sites, including administrative tasks
  • Development and coordination of person centred plans
  • Consulting with other Specialist Multicap staff on positive behaviour support plans
  • Providing leadership, guidance and supports to all Support Staff, by creating a team culture which thrives on communication, collaboration, continuous improvement, training and skill development
  • Promoting positive family and community relationships
  • Provide support to the Service Manager for the region
  • Provide hands-on support to customers, including who are on the spectrum 
  • Ensuring the service is managed in alignment to Multicap's vision, strategic priorities, and legislative requirements
  • Knowledge of restrictive practice and complex medical needs
  • Ensure a safe and healthy workplace by implementing and adhering to all WHS policies and procedures.

About you

  • Demonstrated, advanced skills in assisting customers/clients who have a disability, particularly those with complex support needs and challenging behaviour
  • Previous experience with rostering and overseeing a team of staff if essential.
  • Experience in leading diverse teams, including well developed interpersonal and communicative skills
  • Experience in coordinating and administrating the delivery of dynamic services
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a supervisory capacity of disability services
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload, and respond to emergent situations
  • Knowledge of the Disability Services Act (2006), and the Disability Service Standards
  • Knowledge and capacity to apply WHS principles in the workplace
  • Knowledge of NDIS desirable
