June 2020 Monte Lupo eNews

This Edition: Our Artists

In the last edition, we introduced two Monte Lupo mentors, Mandy and Kimberley, as part of our series introducing our mentors, our artists and our retailers.

This edition, we are spotlighting our artists – 15 people with diverse talents, skills and perspectives. Our artists are the heart of Monte Lupo – each person bringing unique insights and distinctive skills which make them an asset to our studio.

Every Monte Lupo piece goes through many hands, from sculpting to decorating, firing, painting, glazing and preparation for sale. This collaborative process between all of our artists is what makes every Monte Lupo piece so special.

Meet the Artist: Chris

When Chris first entered the Monte Lupo Studio for work experience, it was clear that he had found his niche.

Four years later, Chris is a familiar face in the studio. His work includes decorating, painting, drawing and assisting with other studio duties. Chris’ cheerful personality adds to the harmonious studio space where he has formed a close network with other artists, mentors and Multicap staff.

During his time as a Monte Lupo Artist, Chris has overcome many challenges. With the support and stability of his family and the studio, Chris is continuing to make great choices and develop his life skills. In addition to working three days a week in the studio, Chris also attends an external Arts program to further develop his skills. In the years ahead Chris looks forward to continuing his employment where he can socialise with others and continue to form new friendships.
