Justin Settles into Rockhampton Like a Fish to Water

Since becoming a Multicap customer five months ago, Justin’s confidence has grown in leaps and bounds.

In the past Justin found it difficult to connect with his local Rockhampton community. A naturally shy person, he lacked the right support and encouragement to improve his communication skills and build a strong social network.

However after a few short months with Multicap, Justin is thriving. Multicap Rockhampton Disability Support Workers Harry and Mick encouraged Justin to begin taking small steps towards becoming more confident and independent. With the support of local staff, Justin identified some activities of interest and began working towards developing his independent living and communication skills.

Justin’s confidence quickly grew, allowing him to make significant changes in his life. His self-esteem increased and he has immersed himself in new experiences. A keen fisherman, Justin has also been able to spend more time doing what he loves.

“I’m a better fisherman who is able to communicate more effectively,” said Justin.

The local staff, particularly Harry and Mick are so proud of how far Justin has come in a short period of time. Justin is full of praise for both Harry and Mick, which is a great testament to their commitment to enhancing the lives of customers.
