Social Enterprises

Social enterprises are businesses that trade to intentionally tackle social problems, improve communities and provide people access to employment and training.

Using the power of the marketplace to solve the most pressing societal problems, social enterprises are commercially viable businesses existing to benefit the public and the community, rather than shareholders and owners.

Multicap’s Social Enterprise businesses provide immediate employment but we are also invested in helping to make strong working futures. We enable our assisted employees to succeed in the workforce. Employment can boost confidence and self-esteem, it connects supported employees with their community and can provide a strong sense of purpose. We believe that employment opportunities form a critical part of an inclusive and empowering community for people with a disability. Supported employment offers a safe, supportive and social work environment.

Our aim is to increase long term employment opportunities and skills for people with disabilities by introducing new services into existing business models and thereby target a broader and growing market; create jobs that offer more complexity and a variety of tasks; maximise our resources and support Multicap by sustainably contributing to our sole purpose - The quality of life of people with disabilities and their families is enhanced by our support.

We can add value to your business with anything ‘makeable’ such as assembly, packing and finishing, to name just a few of the services we can provide.
