Music therapy hits the right note

Music therapy can improve your health, functioning and well-being. It naturally decreases anxiety, ignites creativity and improves your communication with others by giving you the chance to express yourself through music. Our music therapy sessions also give you the chance to build relationships in the group environment. 

As an allied health professional, our trained music therapist works with you to develop your goals within music therapy – whether that be enhanced communication skills, social skills, movement skills and more. In each session, you might sing, play instruments, dance, write our own song, record a song, perform, listen or talk about music. 

Our music therapy program offers positive and enjoyable musical experiences that can reduce anxiety and physical effects of stress. Music therapy helps to develop self-awareness, confidence, awareness of others and the environment, stimulate communication and speech and facilitate physical function through rhythmic music. Our music therapy sessions can be one-on-one or in a group environment.
