The Opportunity

Multicap is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Fundraising Manager who will play a pivotal role in identifying, developing and activating opportunities for growth. A primary focus of this role will be to execute the Fundraising Strategy focusing on major gifts, partnerships, foundations and campaigns.

You will bring ideas, imagination and a passion for chasing new opportunities for business growth to this role. You have a well-rounded understanding of philanthropy, excellent attention to detail and the highest quality writing skills. You have a proven, hands on ability to implement diverse fundraising programs, manage challenging deadlines and multiple internal and external stakeholders. You are a skilled communicator and negotiator, possessing diplomacy, flexibility and creativity.

Specific tasks include:

  • Further develop and drive existing fundraising programs to ensure acquisition, relationship and revenue targets are exceeded.
  • Implement the Fundraising Strategy, providing advice on prioritising the rollout of programs and associated tasks.
  • Identify, proactively network and manage a portfolio of mid-high value donors and partners, building deep relationships to encourage long-term and increasing investment.
  • Identify, research and develop a portfolio of strategic corporate partnerships to support Multicaps innovative social enterprises, and which are aligned to the growth of the organization.

To be considered for appointment to this role, you will have:

  • A tertiary qualification with 5+ years of experience in fundraising.
  • Proven track record delivering revenue growth through diverse fundraising programs.
  • Previous experience in the preparation and implementation of a fundraising/business development strategy aligned to outcomes is essential, as is demonstrable experience in leveraging the value of relationships and partnerships to drive revenue and increase business.
  • Pragmatic approach with the ability to effectively manage competing demands and priorities.
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions on limited budgets in line with organisational strategy and business needs.
  • A proven ‘doer’ with a strong focus on execution within a small, agile team.
  • Extensive experience in grant writing and a proven ability to complete funding applications. This will require you to possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills and highly developed relationship management and networking skills.
  • Knowledge of the disability sector would be a distinct advantage.

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Officer to oversee all recruitment and selection activities, commencement paperwork and contracts based within our busy People & Culture Team in Eight Mile Plains, QLD.

Your new role

Our successful applicant will responsible for providing a high level of HR support and advice as well as implementing policies and procedures, with other primary duties including:

  • Process recruitment activities in accordance with relevant policies and procedures using the Scout database and ensuring supervisors comply with pre-established procedures
  • Coordinate the completion of payroll notifications, staff contracts and other documentation in collaboration with staff, supervisors and payroll
  • Prepare contracts of employment, variations to hours, resignations, and other additional amendments to employment paperwork to payroll
  • Maintain the organisation structure component of Multicap's HRIS, Technology One
  • Coordination of assessment centres in liaison with external providers and internal staff

The position is a parental leave cover role for a period of 6 months.

To be considered for the position, you will ideally have a positive attitude, enjoy working as part of a high functioning team and be able to work flexibly on a range of projects across media relations and communication, including:

  • Previous experience working in a human resource area is required, particularly knowledge of best practice recruitment procedures

The Opportunity

Multicap is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Aged Care Program Manager who will develop and implement Multicap's first home care program for the Brisbane Aged Care Community.

Multicap is a high needs disability organisation; assisting, developing and empowering people since 1962. We are expanding our services so that we can continue to provide opportunities and creative support outcomes for people as they get older. The home care packages have undergone changes as part of the Australian Government Department of Health's broader aged care reform agenda and are to increase choice in home care services. Through aged care and disability services, the home care packages are to provide access to a range of personal services, support services and care coordination that helps clients with their day-to-day activities with choice and flexibility. Once the program has been implemented this exciting role will focus on case management. You will be based in Eight Mile Plains, but would be required to regularly travel out into the community, conducting clinical assessments in our customer's homes, writing detailed case notes and identifying solutions to enable customers to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.

You will also enjoy connecting with family members and external organisations to serve the customer's best interests and manage customer's package budgets.

 We are currently seeking a Disability Support Worker to support persons with a disability based within our Toowoomba Region.

Your new role

Our successful applicant will be responsible for supporting and assisting persons with a disability in their living and/or community environment. Other primary duties will include:

  • Carry out designated tasks and activities aimed at meeting the client’s personal living/community needs, team objectives and/or program goals.
  • Participate in developing and monitoring individual program plans and be accountable for their outcomes.
  • Establish good working relationships and networks with other community organisation to keep abreast of community activities and initiatives
  • Transport clients to and from community based activities
  • Provide quality in home/community access and centre based respite care and support, incorporating integration and participation in social, recreational and educational activities. 
  • Working with both children and adults with a disability within their home environment and on community access

This is a casual role.

What you bring

To be considered for the position, you will ideally have demonstrated knowledge and application of the principles and objectives of the QLD Disability Services Act 2006 and the Disability Service Standards. You will also demonstrate:

  • Skills supporting and caring for adolescents and adults with disabilities and complex support needs eg challenging behaviours
  • Ability and skill to work within a Lifestyle Planning Process for persons with an intellectual disability
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively within a team
  • Ability to prioritise workload and respond to emergency situations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive attitude
  • A proven ability to multi-task

We are currently seeking a Team Leader to support the delivery of Multicap’s Day Service in Toowoomba.

About the opportunity

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading select operational teams, ensuring service delivery is reflective of customer need and aligned to agreed quality outcomes for the individual and organisation.

Primary duties will also include:

  • Managing the day to day operations of the site
  • Development and coordination of person centred programs
  • Providing leadership, guidance and supports to Direct Support Staff.
  • Promoting positive family and community relationships
  • Provide support to the Service Manager for your region
  • Provide hands on support to customers
  • Providing leadership, guidance and supports to Direct Support Staff.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy workplace by implementing and adhering to all WHS policies and procedures

The position is a full-time position for 76 hours per fortnight.

About the candidate

To be considered for the position, you will ideally have:

  • Demonstrated advanced skills in assisting adolescents and adults with disabilities, particularly those with complex support needs.
  • Experience in leading diverse teams including well developed interpersonal and communicative skills.
  • Experience in coordinating and administrating the delivery of dynamic services
  • Minimum 2/3 years experience in a supervisory capacity within disability services
  • Possession of or willingness to obtain First Aid Certificate, Current Driver’s Licence and Positive Notice Card (Yellow & Blue)
  • Knowledge of and capacity to apply Equal Opportunity and Workplace Health & Safety principles in the workplace.
