Your new role

This role will carry out a wide range of marketing and communication related activities to support the achievement of Marketing and Communications deliverables across the business.

Primary duties include:

  • Work as part of the marketing team to develop and implement marketing and communications plans within our communities of interest
  • Develop strong working relationships with Marketing and Communication stakeholders across the business and deliver excellent customer service standards

  • Participate in and actively engage with the community at marketing activities or events to promote Multicap and our range of services

Your new role

This role will work side by side with the General Manager Marketing & Communications and 2 other members of the Marketing team executing strategy and framework that is in place, in addition to working on projects as required.  The role will carry out a wide range of marketing and communication related activities to support Marketing deliverables.  Other primary duties include:

  • Write compelling and persuasive copy for publication, drive marketing and communications activity and campaigns
  • Develop case studies and written copy on how Multicap is assisting people with disability achieve positive outcomes. This will include arranging and conducting interviews with customers, their families and staff
  • Ensure adequate formal and informal communication channels are established and maintained to the satisfaction of the GM to meet the needs of stakeholders including customers, families, carers, staff and Government
  • Partner with the team to develop and implement marketing and communication plans to ensure effective pathways for people accessing services and support and raise awareness of Multicap
  • Develop content for internal business areas such as Customer Services, Avegates, Social Enterprise (including Multisnacks, MakeAbles, Monte Lupo and Laundretto), People and Culture

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader to support the delivery of Multicap disability services across North Brisbane, based in Chermside.  

Your new role

The purpose of this position is to facilitate and lead a team of Disability Support Workers, to achieve agreed quality and service outcomes, aimed at supporting and assisting persons with a disability in their living and community environment. The Team Leader will ensure service delivery is reflective of customer need, and aligned to outcomes for the individual and the organisation. Primary duties will also include:

  • Managing the day to day operations of the site, including administrative tasks
  • Development and coordination of person centred plans
  • Consulting with other Specialist Multicap staff on positive behaviour support plans
  • Providing leadership, guidance and supports to all Support Staff, by creating a team culture which thrives on communication, collaboration, continuous improvement, training and skill development
  • Promoting positive family and community relationships
  • Provide support to the Service Manager for the region
  • Provide hands-on support to customers, including who are on the spectrum

What you bring

  • Demonstrated, advanced skills in assisting customers/clients who have a disability, particularly those with complex support needs

  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in a supervisory capacity of disability services

We are seeking permanent part time Disability Support Workers, to support persons with a disability across our North Brisbane Region. This particular position is supporting our service users in social support activities and in-home support, out in the community or supporting a customer in their home, or in our accommodation sites.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have:

  • Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support OR
  • Experience within the industry (eg. disability, mental health, aged care, individual support, community services or youth work etc.)
  • Experience with challenging and complex behaviours (further training is provided)
  • Ability to work outside of school hours.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR, or willing to obtain one
  • Current Drivers License (mandatory).

Successful candidates will be required to hold a Blue & Yellow Card (Multicap can help you with this application process).
