Multicap are seeking an innovative and energetic Media and Communications Coordinator to join our busy Marketing and Communications Team at our head office in Eight Mile Plains.

Your new role

The Media and Communications Coordinator is responsible for publicising the marketing collateral via multiple channels to engage with internal and external stakeholders and build our organisational profile and media presence. Your established media connections along with your ability to identify and write great stories will enable you to build on Multicap’s growing media presence. Through carefully planned and implemented PR strategies, you will work with Multicap’s various service areas to raise awareness and connect with customers, their families and other stakeholders. 

Key components of the role include:

  • Working closely with the Content Lead to develop and execute effective social media and communications strategy to engage community, customers and staff at all levels throughout the organisation. 
  • Generate, edit, publish and share social media content that builds meaingful connections nad encourages community members to take action.
  • Set up and optimise pages within each platform to increase the visibility of a specific company's social content. 

You will work closely with colleagues from all areas of the business, with customers and their families, with media representatives, and with senior executive members of the organisation, and will need to work well under pressure with accuracy in meeting deadlines and achieving targets.

What you bring

To be considered for the position, you will ideally have a positive attitude, enjoy working as part of a high functioning team and be able to work flexibly on a range of projects across media relations and communication, including:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant working experience in Communications, Marketing, Digital technology, New Media or Public Relations.

Rostering Officer

We are currently seeking an experienced Rostering Officer to support our busy Rostering Team based at Rockhampton.

Your new role

This highly independent full-time rostering role will play a key role in the coordination of staffing rosters in conjunction with the Senior Rostering officer.

You will be required to develop and implement rosters to ensure successful and timely delivery of staff schedules. You will work within the Rostering team, working closely with the People and Culture and Operations Teams.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Constructing schedules and roster staff in Multicap's electronic rostering system (Riteq) in accordance with customer needs
  • Adding employees to the rostering system and maintaining data integrity of the rostering system across services
  • Managing staff leave through Riteq system and ensure replacement staff are in place to cover leave/shortages
  • In consultation with Service Leaders, oversee the buddying of new staff into services with experience staff to ensure appropriate induction
  • Coordinate correct processing of staff shifts to meet EBA requirements and payroll deadlines
  • Assist in the maintenance of staff alerts, ensuring mandatory skills and qualifications are current before they are allocated shifts

This role will require a high level of autonomy, attention to detail and the ability to encourage interaction and discussion with a variety of internal stakeholders.

What you bring

To be considered for the position, you will ideally have a positive attitude, enjoy working as part of a high functioning team and be able to work flexibly on a range of projects across media relations and communication, including:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role, particularly knowledge of best practice rostering procedures in a similar industry
  • Previous experience in interpreting and adhering to workplace EBA, legislation, and awards
  • Effective communication skills and customer support skills with the ability to liaise effectively with staff and managers to coordinate shifts
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office suite or programs, including Excel and Word, as well as previous experience with a rostering system

Your new role

The ‘Avegates Local Events Officer‘ is responsible for the smooth running of local events that form part of the Avegates social program in local communities across the state. Local events are held in a variety of local venues and the events officer is required to ensure attendees have a streamlined and enjoyable experience. Some of the primary duties of the role include:

  • Provide a central point of contact for registered attendees on arrival to the event. Welcome attendees with a warm and enthusiastic greeting.
  • Document attendee's arrival and ensure that all attendees are accounted for with pre-purchased tickets
  • Assist attendees and their companions in any issues they may experience to ensure they have an enjoyable evening
  • Record and feedback attendee evaluation of the event, and convey ideas for improvements to the Program Manager
  • Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health & safety are met, resolving health and safety, legal and security issues and recording requirements as per organizational and program policies and procedures

We are currently seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead the delivery of Multicap’s disability support services based in the Sunshine Coast.

The successful applicant will be responsible for management of select services, ensuring service delivery is reflective of customer need, delivering on agreed quality outcomes for the individual and organisation.

Primary duties will include:

  • Managing the delivery of agreed quality services, in line with Multicap’s strategic priorities for the service and organisation
  • Providing influential leadership, direction and supports to Service Leaders and Direct Support Staff.
  • Establishing and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, enhancing the customers’ experience of Multicap services and providing opportunity for improved brand awareness and image.

The position is a permanent full-time position for 76 hours per fortnight.

To be considered for the position, you will ideally have:

  • Experience in the provision of services for people with disabilities, particularly those with complex behavioural/medical support needs
  • Qualifications that underpin your practical experience (Desirable)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legislation, policy, and associated programs in the disability and/or related community services area.
  • Experience in the development, training and implementation of positive behaviour support plans.

We are currently seeking an NDIS Transition Officer to support our busy NDIS Transition Team in Eight Mile Plains.

At Multicap we have a robust, tested and refined NDIS transition support model that assists our customers to maximise the opportunities as they access the NDIS. If you have. A passion for assisting people with disabilities, have strong project management skills and can execute and further refine an existing process then this role is right for you.

    

Your New Role

The NDIS Transition Officer will support all operational teams to manage customer enquiries and onboarding. Acting as a central first point of contact, the NDIS Transition Officer will provide relevant information to customers, linking them to relevant services and facilitate the customer experience inclusive of utilizing the connection key and other onboarding processes. This will be facilitated in partnership with the local service representative. The ongoing retention of customers will form a part of this role responsibility.
 
As the NDIS roll out moves to South East QLD the number of our customers transitioning will increase presenting a great opportunity for people who enjoy working as a team with the increase in recruitment continuing into 2018.

The transition team is part of the specialist services unit of Multicap and will work closely with the regional service delivery teams to engage the customer and ensure they are positioned to get the reasonable and necessary supports they need from the NDIS.

This role will provide the successful applicants experience in navigating the NDIS ensuring that the skills and knowledge they developed position them as highly employable in the new disability environment.

This process will incorporate the onboarding of new customers and or services, coordinate handover to regional teams, ongoing retention and customer exits from Multicap; with other primary duties including:

  • Respond to, engage and answer incoming customer enquiries though onboarding procedure in a timely manner
  • Facilitate onboarding procedure from a centralized role and work in partnership with service representative to facilitate decentralized role to ensure overall high level of customer experience
  • Facilitate organisational customer exit procedure to provide holistic customer experience.
  • Establishing and implementing meeting coordination of potential customers to regional services to provide the link between Customer Service Officer to relevant service representative in facilitating site visits and fostering relationships between regions and customers and their families.
  • Complete all relevant onboarding paperwork within timely manner
  • Provide central control point for onboarding process inclusive of reviewing, finalising and approving all customer documentation.
  • Foster relationships with relevant community organisations build awareness of Multicap services, as well as an understanding of services available in the wider community inclusive of local area coordinators and government departments
  • Cultivate organisational knowledge and understanding of industry changes to ensure that Multicap’s processes and practices for customer engagement are compatible with actual customer need and objectives.

Analysis and synthesising existing customer data, engaging with customers to understand their goals, preparing template documents to support the customer engaging with the NDIA are all key components of the role.

What you Bring

  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to manage telephone and face to face enquiries in a cordial, professional and helpful manner.
  • Ability to develop networks, rapport and influence with both internal and external parties (potential customers).
  • Robust interpersonal, communication and sales skills to extract key and relevant information in conversations for the purpose of completing onboarding and assessment tools.
  • 1 year experience in a similar role AND/OR 2 years experience working with people with disabilities and a knowledge of different types of Disability Services
  • A positive attitude towards people with disabilities and the willingness to work within Multicap’s Values and Code of Conduct in order to meet our Clients’ needs.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including proficient use of MS Office Applications and databases.
  • Well developed capacity to manage the competing demands of a busy environment, work to deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and willingness to assist HR team members with work activities.

About our organisation

Founded in 1962, Multicap has over 50 years experience in providing assistance to people with disability, specialising in high and complex needs. Started by six families who believed in the multiple capabilities of their children, Multcap became  champion of possibly for people with a disability and their families all over Queensland.
